Physical assessment by nurses - course for academics educating non-medical healthcare staff

The purpose of this course is to provide knowledge and practical skills in a complex physical examination of a patient with the provision of nursing care. Participants must have at least B1 language level.

Target group: Academics educating non-medical healthcare staff in patient communication and multidisciplinary team in English on the topic of patient physical examination


P.A.nurse modules: 
- Introduction: Physical assessment methods and possibilities 
- Patient history and Interviewing the patient
- General survey 
- Assessment of vital signs 
- Cardiovascular and respiratory assessment
- Gastrointestinal and genitourinary assessment 
- Neurological assessment 
- Musculoskeletal assessment
- Assessment of the immune system
- Integumentary assessment and assessment of peripheral circulation

 

Course schedule: 15 hours; 3 terms each consisting of 5 hours 
Course terms: 18th September; 20th September; 3rd October
Time: 1 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Capacity: Maximum 15 participants
Price: Free of charge for all participants
